Of Course the BIG and Important Question is: What form of "Christianity" are they converting into?
Such as this statement in the article:
"And just a few days ago, the first-ever Roman Catholic church was consecrated in Qatar, a Sunni Muslim state where the Wahhabi brand of Islam is practiced. This was the first time Christians in Qatar have been allowed to practice their faith openly. Ten thousand people attended the opening mass."
Chuck Colson like Rick Warren see's Roman Catholicism, Eastern Orthodox etc as valid Christian Faiths.
Chuck Colson was one of the signatories on the Protestants and Catholics together document which stressed working towards a unity between Protestant Christian Denominations and the Catholic Church.
As much as I disagree with the Catholic "faith" I have to agree with you here Pastor Eric - I think there are some Catholics out there who are truly saved and will be walking the streets of gold one day. It's the others I worry about.

True - however that wasn't the part of the article I found 'exciting'.
ReplyDeleteAdditionally I don't think that it's accurate for any of us to unilaterally declare that no Catholic is truly saved.
I'm pretty sure that there are some Catholics who are truly born again and are truly serving Jesus despite the false doctrine and deceptions of Rome.
