Mohler's point would be better taken if American Christians had some spiritual integrity to begin with ; what good is salt which has lost its savor but to be trod upon ? While official policies aren't the problem per se ,they would more readily line up with Christian values if Christians weren't so lukewarm themselves . The policies we have today are only an indication of the values of the general populace . It is necessary to be politically involved to some degree if for no other reason but for the sake of restraint and to do so is not necessarily to place faith in laws . Afterall , there is such a thing as civic responsibility within the Christian community as well .
And ... why is it that homosexual marriage is always the determining factor as to when America has become a kind of Sodom ? Here's a newsflash ... America already is , unless fornicating homosexuals are better than committed homosexuals .
