A Muslim Encounters Jesus

A GREAT testimony:

  1. Heidi and I came to the conclusion when talking and sharing Jesus that it is not enough that people be convicted of their crimes against God (sin). A modern day criminal often becomes a repeat offender of the laws of this land. They are aware of their crimes and have fully accepted as to why they are where they are. Yet despite their obvious purposeful disregard for following basic rules set up for society's safety (laws) they will fight you with their last breath with the belief that they are "a good person". Adolf Hitler thought he was doing the world a favor with his lust for power and very distorted view that Jewish/colored people were the source of all evil. Hitler viewed himself as a "good person" despite his crimes against society. People all around the world especially those who've heard the gospel and were scared into the Kingdom with the idea of saying the sinners prayer for fire insurance continue to be "repeat offenders" and claim to be "a good person". I find more and more conviction alone is not enough for a criminal to reform or transform (Rom 12:2). True transformation that sustains and reforms a criminal forever is Love. An undeniable encounter of the deep love of Our Father personally has for us. That what matters to us matters to Our Daddy in heaven, and He sent His Holy Spirit as the part of Him that will reach out and touch us. Healing and miracles signs and wonders are displays of God's glory. Through them we validate that God exists. When he diplays an intimate act of goodness because He loves us: we realize HE knows WE exist. In that moment "the Father" becomes "MY FATHER" (John 5) The realization that all that the Son did was the amount that had to be paid for my adoption papers. That I was no longer a hurt, rejected, bullied orphan trying to survive the best way I knew how in the environment of an orphanage. All the "bad""deviant" disregard for the rules behavior or even overacheiving BUSYNESS was all ways my personality had to overcompensate for the inward cry of being an orphan. But the moment I realized: MY FATHER LOVES ME AND WANTS ME, and the papers were signed for my release in red ink marked paid in full and a happy loving father is awaiting with open arms, the evidence of warm tears melts away the rejection of the orphanage I leave behind me and fall into the good and wonderful plans my father had cooking up for me while awaiting the adoption process through.
